Foursquare is a popular geo location based social network and available on mobile for iPhone, Androd & Blackberry phones. The business directory listings are free to add and initially added by customers or visitors to stores or shops who check-in.
You need to claim your business entry so you can update the details and add special offers for Mayors, visitors etc. Your business or store is probably already in the directory if you are in London or a major city. If you’re not in the directory you’ll first have to Add a Venue from the mobile application.
Claim your Business Listing on Foursquare
Foursquare encourages businesses as well as their marketing agencies and managers to get involved. Visit Foursquare.com/businesses to find out more.
The first step in the claim process is to find your shop or venue - do a search on the Foursquare site.
When you find your venue, click on the link to claim this venue. Complete the little details about yourself, your business website and sit back and relax.
Once you’ve submitted the claim request, you can expect it to take about 2 weeks to get an email back from Foursquare to confirm you’re setup.
Then you’ll be able to go ahead and create your own offers for Mayors, Visitors and more!
