A new version of DBC Backup 2 has been released. I’m doing this to make life just a little bit harder. You should update to v2.1.1 as soon as possible please.
What’s in this release?
This release looks to address a common security issue with WordPress and browsing folders like /wp-content etc. I also recommend all users of my plugin and WordPress to check that their .htaccess file includes this 1 line (well 2 lines):
# SECURITY STUFF
Options -Indexes
This will prevent anybody from trying to browse around the backend of your website.
Try visting yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/ before changing the .htaccess file and then try to browse the same url after you change the .htaccess file.
