Welcome to 2012, it’s ‘barely’ the first day of work and the WordPress team have released WordPress 3.3.1. This is a security and bug fix release which means it’s time to update as this is a mandatory update for us all.

What’s in this release?

This release is just 2 weeks after the big update to 3.3 so don’t be expecting anything new. Release 3.3.1 addresses a security issue with ‘cross site scripting’ and 15 other maintenance fixes.

Should you update now?

Yes - update to WordPress 3.3.1 as soon as possible in order to stay protected.

How to Update Safely
